Qualifications & Requirements.

Must be 21 years of age or older, need a valid driver's license. Additional $25 daily fee applicable to renters of under 25 years of age.

All Renters must have a major credit, debit card in their name to rent a FRAC vehicle. We do not accept gift cards and prepaid credit, debit cards.

All (primary & secondary) drivers must be registered. A valid legible driver’s license from the Renter's state (i.e., must not be expired, must not have any restrictions). A learner's permit is not an acceptable license.

Proof of full coverage insurance is required at time of rental and Renters must bring their insurance card or Insurance declaration page for verification.

Rental contracts must be signed in person. Rental contracts may not be faxed, or renewed by phone. Rental contracts may not be signed by anyone other than the Renter.

Customers are responsible for any vehicle damage or other costs while the rental vehicle is in their possession, and are expected to return rental vehicles in the same condition they received them.

$250 -$500 rental car deposit applies.

Excess-Use Damage

Commercial Use: Royal Rent-a-Car rental vehicles are to be used only for personal use. Commercial and rideshare use is prohibited. If the vehicle is driven for commercial or rideshare use, additional charges may be incurred.

Smoking Policy: Royal Rent-a-Car rental vehicles are Smoke-Free. To safeguard health of all consumers & to comply with respective laws, all types of smoking, including vaping, in rental vehicles is not permitted. A minimum of $250.00 cleaning fee is applied if violated.

Pet Policy: Certified & registered service dogs are allowed in rental vehicles. Customers need to keep pets crated and return their rental car in clean condition and free of pet hair & other residue to avoid cleaning, detailing and sanitization fees. A starting fee of $250.00 will be charged if cleaning is required.

Important: All pets & animals must be disclosed in advance to the rental advisors. To avoid serious injury, be sure that your pet, as any occupant of the rented vehicle, is properly secured while traveling in a vehicle. Service animals used by customers with disabilities are allowed in the vehicle without a carrier.

Additional prohibited categories include, but not limited to, rideshare use, road racing, drag racing, participating in unsanctioned vehicle gatherings, unlawful act with vehicle.

Rental Returns and Drop-offs

All vehicles rented at Royal Rent-a-Car must be returned to Royal Rent-a- Car.

Customers must return the vehicle with the same fuel level at the time of rental. A charge of $5.99 per gallon will be assessed to customers returning vehicles with fuel levels below those recorded upon renting the vehicles.

Daily rentals are based on a 24-hour period. Example, if you rent a vehicle at 9:00 AM, it must be returned no later than 9:00 AM the next day.

Rental vehicles must be returned during normal business hours: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM-6:00 PM. Customers with their vehicles in the Service Department can pick up and return their rental cars 8:00 AM to 5:45 PM. Holidays may alter these hours.

Geographic limitations

FRAC vehicles are allowed in the State of Michigan only. If the vehicle is driven out of State, additional charges may be incurred.

FRAC vehicles are not allowed in Canada.

FRAC vehicles are not allowed to be driven off road. If the vehicle is driven off road, additional charges may be incurred.
